Entrance doors are not only a calling card for your home, but also a key element that ensures safety, privacy and thermal insulation. Even the highest-quality steel doors will not do their job if they are installed incorrectly.
Proper installation is extremely important, as it ensures airtightness, stability and everyday comfort. Well-fitted doors protect against heat loss, eliminate the risk of thermal bridging and guarantee smooth, quiet operation.
If you have the right skills, you can use our guide, which includes instructions and video materials, taking you step by step through the entire process. In case of any doubts, we recommend seeking help from qualified specialists.
Stage I – Preparation for installation
First, unpack the door and all accessories. Prepare the necessary tools, including:
- Spirit level
- Hammer
- Mounting anchors
- Tape measure
- Screwdriver
- Utility knife
- Drill with drill bits
- Carpenter’s square
- Mounting foam
Stage II – Installing the door frame
- Remove the door leaf from the frame and screw the hinges onto it. Place the frame in the opening, maintaining a 1.5–2 cm clearance on both sides and at the top.
- Secure it with wedges, level it, and check the angles.
- Fill the space between the wall and the frame with монтаж foam, and then fasten the whole assembly to the wall using монтаж anchors.
Stage III – Door leaf preparation and installation
- Using the templates, drill holes for the latch, then install it and screw in the insert. Attach the handle, then remove the film from the frame reveal and install the seal.
- Place the door leaf in the frame, screw it onto the hinges, and adjust their alignment. After finishing all construction work, remove the protective film—do not leave it on the doors for too long, as it may leave marks that are difficult to remove. After installation, check the operation of the door.
