How to identify the door and the opening direction?

To select the right doors, you must determine:

whether the door is right-hand or left-hand
whether it opens inward or outward

Step 1: Stand in front of the door – on the side where the hinges will be visible and the door will open towards you.

Step 2: Check the hinge side

Hinges on..	The door opens...	Door type
Left side	Towards you	Left-hand
Right side	Towards you	Right-hand

If the door opens away from you (to the outside of the room), the door type will be the opposite:

Hinges on the left → right-hand door
Hinges on the right → left-hand door

Step 3: Determine the opening direction

If the leaf opens to the outside of the room – these are outward-opening doors

If the leaf opens into the room – these are inward-opening doors

Example:

You stand in the hallway. The room door has hinges on the right side, and the handle on the left , and it opens towards you → these are right-hand doors opening inward
